Is-sinjal għal STAZZJON TAT-TIFI TAN-NAR għandu zewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal STABBILIMENT. Dan isir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l- forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il barra. Il-werrej ta’ id imiss mal-werrej tal-id l-oħra livell mal-wiċċ. L-idejn jitbiegħdu laġenba u ’l isfel u jiffurmaw linja b’angolu rett. (ii) Fit-tieni parti, ż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 ftit kurva u bil-pala tħares ’il fuq. Id waħda titqiegħed iktar ’il quddiem u fil-ġenb mill-oħra. Jduru f’ ċirku żgħir flimkien qisu qed iżommu l-pajp oħxon u tqil ta’ l-ilma biex jitfu n-nar.

The sign for FIRE STATION consists of two parts. (i) First, the sign for ESTABLISHMENT is made with both hands in the shape of 1 with palms facing outwards. The index fingers touch and then move away to the side and then downwards to form right angles. (ii) In the second part, both hands take the shape of slightly curved 5 with palms facing upwards. One hand is held more forward and to the side than the other. Together they form a small circular movement as though holding the heavy water pipe to put the fire out.
Sometimes the first part is omitted.
